A new study suggests a broader, less disease-focused perspective might be warranted by public health practitioners in addressing the sexual health of gay and bisexual men.

In a sudy of their most recent sexual event:

- less than 40% engaged in anal intercourse

- 40% of partners were someone they were dating

- immense variability in the sexual repertoires, with more than 1,300 combinations of activities

- evaluations were mostly positive, ratings being highest among older men

- nearly half of participants who engaged in anal intercourse used a condom

- 82% had an orgasm, significantly more if with a relationship partner 21 Oct 11
