HIV/AIDS - Local Services - London
No one wants to catch HIV, but every year more and more gay men catch it and will live with the negative effects for the rest of their lives. But there is something we can do about it. Count Me In is an exciting new campaign by GMFA. Its goal is to stop the spread of HIV in the gay community and you can be a part of it. As part of the campaign, men are showing their commitment to stopping the spread of HIV in our community by agreeing to a 5-point action plan:
- I will know my HIV status
- I will not assume I know someone elseÕs HIV status
- I will take personal responsibility for using condoms
- I will value myself and my health
- I will stay informed about HIV and how it is spread
These five points get to the heart of why gay men are continuing to catch HIV. If we all commit to them, we can stop this virus. We know it wonÕt always be easy, but together we can make a real difference. Have a look at the videos and find out why other guys have decided to be part of the campaign and if it makes sense then to youÉ then join us! Make your own video about what Count Me In means to you and how you think HIV effects us today. Post it on YouTube, write on our wall or scroll down and find out all the other ways you can get involved. ItÕs time to stand up and be counted if we are going to beat this virus once and for all.
Together we can stop the spread of HIV - this is only the beginning!
