Rural Friendship Support Groups.
Friends can make a great difference to your life. Friendship Support Groups give you a sense of belonging, widen your personal and social networks and support a stronger sense of well-being. They also offer you a chance to discuss concerns and create positive solutions.
The groups offer the opportunity to have fun and help you develop skills and gain knowledge and confidence. Our Friendship Support Groups are facilitated by trained volunteers and you will be introduced to people who have had similar experiences. We understand that prospective members might feel nervous about joining a group and you will be met by trained volunteers who will accompany you to your first meeting. Your sense of well-being is important to GAY-GLOS. Our groups offer a safe place to explore your sexual orientation and make new friends.
We recognise the need for confidentiality for everyone involved and all members are expected to comply. Venues are assessed to ensure that meeting places are safe, welcoming and attractive. Groups are open to anyone aged 18 and over.
Opening Times: Telephone helpline. Monday-Friday 7:30pm-10:00pm.
